The Safer Stronger Northampton Partnership is launching the 2010 best bar none scheme to encourage pubs, clubs and bars to earn the accolade of becoming the towns best drinking venue. The scheme is fully supported by Northampton Pubwatch. This year the categories will be Best Bar, Best Club and Best Town Centre Bar.

2007 Winners were presented with their awards at the Northamptonshire Enterprise Awards black tie dinner held at Sywell Aerodrome’s Hanger No. 1 venue attended by over 200 guests.

Best Bar None aims to reward licensees who provide good management a safe and enjoyable environment for customers, discourage binge drinking and prevent alcohol-related crime. It encourages licensees to act responsibly and take pride in their premises and surroundings and in doing so put something back into the county and their local community.

But the biggest winners in Best Bar None are the residents and visitors to Northamptonshire who are able to reap the rewards of a county that is more welcoming attractive, lively and above all safe.
